The session will be split into two parts:\nPART I: Basic principles\nThis part will focus on the basic principles and questions concerning copy-editing and will include discussion of the following points:\n\nWhat is copy editing and how is it different from other types of language review?\nWhen should you consider editing your text? Is it fit for the purpose?\nPreliminary questions: What is the text type? Who is your target audience? What channel(s) are you using?\nCopy-edit checklist: What are some of the most important editing techniques you can use to add value to your communications?\n\nPART II: Putting it into practice\nThis part will focus on more practical applications of the points discussed in Part I.\n\nThe trainer will provide some standard examples to illustrate copy-editing in practice.\nParticipants are encouraged to provide their own material for discussion. This can be submitted in advance.\n\nAt the end of the session\, you will have a clearer understanding of what copy-editing is\, when you should consider editing\, and what editing techniques you can use.\nThe session will be held in English and it includes a tasty breakfast.\nPrice: 295 € (inc.
