The session will be split into two parts:\nPART I: Basic principles\nThis part will focus on the basic principles and questions concerning copy-editing and will include discussion of the following points:\n\nWhat is copy editing and how is it different from other types of language review?\nWhen should you consider editing your text? Is it fit for the purpose?\nPreliminary questions: What is the text type? Who is your target audience? What channel(s) are you using?\nCopy-edit checklist: What are some of the most important editing techniques you can use to add value to your communications?\n\nPART II: Putting it into practice\nThis part will focus on more practical applications of the points discussed in Part I.\n\nThe trainer will provide some standard examples to illustrate copy-editing in practice.\nParticipants are encouraged to provide their own material for discussion. This can be submitted in advance. You will also get feedback with suggested improvements.\n\nAt the end of the session\, you will have a clearer understanding of what copy-editing is\, when you should consider editing\, and what editing techniques you can use.\nThe session will be held in English and it includes a tasty breakfast.\nPrice: 295 € (inc.
